With this open, light-flooded building, architects Moeller-Terbuechte have succeeded in producing a particularly ambitious yet attractive construction. Despite the use of various materials and the richly varied architecture, the new Criminal Justice Center in Wuerzburg does not jar in any way: on the contrary, it merges organically into the park-like surroundings. The lush, warm red tones of the NBK-Large panels represent a valid contrast to the glass façade and roof. The selective and sparingly incorporated TerrartR-Baguettes reinforce the impression of the transparency and lightness. The effects conjured up on the glazed surfaces of the external walls by light, water and glass are especially fascinating.
